Klein Vision’s AirCar Completes 35 Minutes Test Flight

Klein Vision’s AirCar is a prototype aircraft that can transform from an aircraft to a road vehicle in less than three minutes.

The AirCar Prototype 1 is powered by a 160 horsepower BMW engine and is equipped with a fixed propeller.

A 35 minutes test flight was conducted between Nitra and the capital Bratislava last Monday adding to more than 40 hours of test flights.

After the test flight, the aircraft was transformed into a car and was driven into the city center by Klein Vision CEO Stefan Klein and company co-founder Anton Zajac.

During the test flights the aircraft went high up to 8,200 ft and reached a maximum cruising speed of 190 kilometers per hour (118 miles per hour).

The company is also working on AirCar Prototype 2, which will include a 300 horsepower engine and can cruise at a speed of 300 kilometers per hour (186 miles per hour) and have a range of 1,000 kilometers (621 miles).

Klein Vision has plans to develop three to four-seater models of the AirCar, and also a twin-engine and amphibious version.
