Five people have been killed in a helicopter crash in Alaska that included Czech billionaire Petr Kellner.
The helicopter, an Airbus AS350 B3 was chartered to carry guides and guests from a lodge in Alaska’s backcountry 80 kilometers east of Anchorage.
The five killed were identified as Petr Kellner, 56, Benjamin Larochaix, 50, Gregory Harms, 52, Sean McMannany, 38, and the pilot, Zachary Russel, 33.
The Eurocopter AS50 crashed about 80 kilometers east of Anchorage at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday. It is yet unknown how the accident occurred.
Petr Kellner was the richest man in the Czech with an estimated net worth of $17.5 billion. He’s the founder and majority shareholder of the PPF group.
