The Airbus A380 is the world's largest passenger airliner. The A380 project was initiated by Airbus in the 1990s to challenge the Boeing 747 and the aircraft first flew in 2005.

As of today, over 246 A380s were built with Emirates being the largest operator. Emirates is also the only stable client for the A380 and the airline's decision to cancel its last planned orders for the A380 led to the final decision to end production of the double-decker by 2021.
The very last A380 aircraft is almost done with construction and was spotted taxing and carrying out engine tests in Toulouse, France. There are only five remaining orders for the A380.
