Yeti Airlines ATR 72 Carrying 72 People Crashes In Nepal


Yeti Airlines ATR 72 carrying 68 passengers and 4 crew crashed in Nepal.


Ten foreign nationals and two infants were on board the ATR and 16 people reportedly died so far.


The aircraft was operating a flight from the capital of Kathmandu to Pokhara when it crashed. Thick black smoke was seen from the crash site and rescue workers and crowds of people gathered around the wreckage.


Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal have called an emergency meeting of cabinet members and ordered security personnel to immediately assist with rescue efforts.
