First Repainted Boeing 777 For IndiGo Arrives In New Delhi

The first Boeing 777 painted in IndiGo’s livery has arrived in New Delhi, India.

The 400-seater dual-class Boeing 777 is leased from Turkish Airlines to operate Mumbai to Istanbul route. The wide-body aircraft was added due to an increase in passenger demand.

The Boeing 777 is one of the most popular and successful aircraft models in the world, with various versions and configurations available for different airlines and routes. The Boeing 777 is known for its fuel efficiency, reliability, and passenger comfort, with a spacious cabin and advanced features such as fly-by-wire controls and digital avionics.

“We are pleased to induct our second Boeing 777 aircraft on damp lease, which will operate on the Mumbai-Istanbul route. Through this addition, we are implementing our strategy and delivering on our promise to provide more convenient travel options for people looking to travel between India and Europe this summer. Istanbul being a key stop, is also connecting 33 European destinations via our codeshare connectivity. The new aircraft will not only increase capacity on the route but also help in keeping the fares affordable. We are continuously reassuring our customers by delivering on our commitment of being on-time, affordable, courteous, and providing hassle-free connectivity across an unparalleled network.” - Mr. Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo.
