Emirates And Air India Reportedly Considering Partnership


Emirates and Air India are reportedly carrying out early talks for a potential partnership in the future.

Although considering a partnership the two airlines are competitors targeting Indian passengers flying to major destinations in Europe and North America.


Air India is currently undergoing a major transformation plan under new owners TATA Group recently placing an order for a whopping 470 jet airplanes.


The massive 470 orders include 250 Airbus jets which consists of 210 A320neo family aircraft as well as 40 A350s. The 220 Boeing jets include 190 737 MAX, 20 787s, and 10 of its largest 777X.


Additionally, Air India is currently completing the merger with Vistara. Vistara founded only in 2015 became the second-largest domestic airline in India in July 2022 only retaining the title for 6 months as Air India merged happened. Air India will cease the Vistara brand.
