President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu Departs for Official Visit to Malaysia on Maldivian  Airbus A330

President of the Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu embarked on his first official visit to Malaysia, aboard Maldivian Airbus A330.

The official visit follows an invitation from Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia, highlighting the close and longstanding ties between the two nations. The President’s agenda is packed with high-level meetings and discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation, addressing regional and global concerns, and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

A notable feature of the trip will be the signing of crucial Memoranda of Understanding and Exchange of Notes, which will focus on advancing partnerships across key areas. This represents a step toward further solidifying the mutual interests that bind the Maldives and Malaysia.

President Dr. Muizzu is set to participate in a Business Forum organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. This event aims to foster collaboration with Malaysian investors and drive investment in the Maldives, creating pathways for economic growth.

The President will also meet with the Maldivian community residing in Malaysia. This will also be the first time Maldivian is operating to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia utilizing the Airbus A330
