Airworks Aviation Academy has released a follow-up statement after a serious incident in which a student was struck by a spinning aircraft propeller, resulting in significant injury.

While withholding personal details to protect the individual’s privacy, the academy stated that full medical support is being provided and that all related expenses will be covered.

Following the incident, the academy temporarily suspended flight operations for three days to allow investigators from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) unrestricted access to the premises and personnel.

Although incidents involving aircraft propellers are extremely uncommon, they highlight the critical need for strict safety protocols and heightened awareness in training environments.

The student is currently receiving medical treatment, and operations at the academy have since resumed after the initial pause for investigation.
