Such extreme rainfall can lead to localized flooding, disruptions in transportation, and challenges for island communities. Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious and monitor weather updates for any further developments.

This new rainfall record serves as a reminder of the growing need for climate resilience and preparedness in island nations vulnerable to extreme weather conditions.
