A Bering Air flight carrying 10 people has reportedly disappeared from radar near Nome, Alaska. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon on a Cessna Caravan flight that was en route from Unalakleet to Nome.

The aircraft last transmitted its location at around 3:20 p.m. local time, and it was scheduled to arrive in Nome at 4:20 p.m. However, it failed to make contact with the airport, prompting an immediate search and rescue operation.

Due to adverse weather conditions, including poor visibility and icing, air support has been limited. Ground search parties from Nome and White Mountain have been mobilized to locate potential wreckage.

Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those on board during this difficult time.
