Iran Missiles Targeted Israeli Air Base Housing F-35 Fighter Jets, Reports Iranian Media

Iranian state media reported that Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a series of ballistic missile attacks targeting key Israeli military installations. The strikes reportedly hit the Nevatim air base, which houses Israel’s F-35 fighter jets, the Netzarim military facility, and the Tel Nof intelligence unit.

According to Iranian media, the IRGC used hypersonic Fatah missiles in the attack, which took place late Tuesday night. The Nevatim air base, a critical site for Israel’s air operations, was specifically targeted due to its role in recent military actions in Beirut.

Iranian officials claimed that the missile strikes were a response to the deaths of key figures in the region, including Hamas chief Ismail Haniyah and Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the missile strikes were carried out to defend Iran’s interests and ensure regional peace and security. He emphasized that civilian targets were deliberately avoided. In contrast, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack, labeling it a “big mistake” and warning that Iran would face consequence.

This missile attack marks a dangerous escalation in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. As tensions continue to rise, the potential for a larger conflict looms.
